When were your drivers last trained?

Any accident can be defined as "an unplanned, unexpected event"

This can result in loss of goods or product, damage to machine or property, injury to yourself and others, but most importantly death. These are the key reasons why operators should be trained to the correct standard.

Our IMS RTITB accredited instructors will train you at our training school or on your own site.

Your trainees will be taught to the RTITB high standard and issued with a certificate of training after successfully completing the course. They can then be entered on the National Operators Registration Scheme (NORS) if required, which is  UK European and Internationally recognised and employers can check with the RTITB on the type of trucks the operator has been trained on and if any restrictions have been applied.  The operator will be reminded of refresher courses as and when they are due and also the last training organisation who trained them.RTITB is a recognised accrediting body under the Approved Code of Practice issued by the Health and Safety Executive.

Any novice operator wishing to be entered on the NORS Scheme, must have completed a full 5 day training course based on 3 trainees to one instructor and 1 machine ratio

Training School

You can be taught at the IMS training facility which is based in Bristol.  Off the job training gives the trainees much more time to concentrate being out of the working environment.

On-site Training

We can also arrange an IMS instructor to come to your site and train, an area of about 40ft x 40ft (depending on the size of your machine) must be available and your trainees must be free from other duties for the whole duration of the course.  A number of pallets must be made available.

Simply use the contact tab to email IMS your requirements and we will be in touch !

NB The customer must make sure the lift truck being used for training is in good working order and a current Thorough Examination Certificate (as stated in the HSE approved code of practise L117) is available.
