What we do
Accidents can result in the loss of products, damage to machinery and property, injury to yourself and others, and even death. These are the key reasons why operators should be trained to the correct standard. IMS provide training taught to the RTITB standard. The RTITB is a recognised accrediting body under the Approved Code of Practice issued by the health and safety executive. On successfully completing the course, trainees will be issued with a certificate of training and if required will be entered into the National Operators Registration Scheme (NORS), which is recognised in the UK, Europe and internationally. This gives employers the ability to check the type of trucks the operator has been trained on, and if any restrictions have been applied. The operator will be reminded of refresher courses as and when they are due and also the last training organisation who trained them. Our RTITB accredited instructors offer training at the IMS training facility in Bristol or on your own site. We recommend off the job training, being away from the working environment gives trainees more time to concentrate. Should you prefer onsite training, an area of about 40ft x 40ft (depending on the size of your machine) and a number of pallets must be made available. Your trainees must be free from other duties for the whole duration of the course.
